Mandate
The Government Communications Office (GCO) was established by Amiri Decree No. (27) of 2015 to coordinate communications activities across government and semi-government entities and to showcase the country’s vision, initiatives and achievements. The GCO falls directly under the jurisdiction of the Prime Minister.
Vision
To empower the State of Qatar to deliver clear, consistent and engaging communications to the public.
Mission
To be the State of Qatar’s strategic communications arm, supporting government and semi-government entities to deliver effective public campaigns and strengthen the country’s communications landscape.
