Record Demand for Web Summit Qatar 2026
Four months ahead, Qatar advances preparations to host the region’s largest technology event
Third edition of the global event is set to attract 30,000 participants
The Web Summit Permanent Organising Committee convened today in Qatar, chaired by Sheikh Jassim bin Mansour bin Jabor Al Thani, Director of the Government Communications Office (GCO), to review ongoing preparations for the third edition of Web Summit Qatar, taking place from 1–4 February 2026. The Committee received reports on significant demand for exhibition space, tickets, masterclasses and speaking opportunities, more than four months ahead of the event. This strong interest and engagement reflect confidence in Qatar’s position as a leading destination for entrepreneurs, investors and startups to convene.
As part of preparations, a high-level delegation from Web Summit’s leadership team participated in the Steering Committee meeting held in Doha, highlighting the organisation’s strong commitment to the event’s success and long-term impact. The team engaged with key stakeholders across Qatar’s government and business community as part of comprehensive preparations for next year’s summit.

The 2026 edition is set to welcome 30,000 attendees from over 120 countries, including more than 1,500 startups, 700 investors, 350 speakers, and 600 media representatives, making it the largest and most diverse Web Summit Qatar to date. Notable attendees include prominent speakers, international leaders, government officials and experts in technology, investment, entrepreneurship and media.

Official government trade and business delegations from Germany, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands, Bahrain and Pakistan will take part. Additional delegations are expected to join, highlighting the summit’s international scope and role as a meeting point for governments, corporations and investors.
Over 80 exhibition partners have been secured from leading international institutions spanning technology, media, finance and investment. Notable partners include iHeartMedia, Huawei, Golden Gate Ventures and Genesis.
The 2026 edition is also set to receive wide international coverage, with major outlets confirming their participation, including the BBC, The Times and The Sunday Times, Axios, TechCrunch, Forbes, Euronews.
